Getting started with Massage

There are so many different masseurs or massage therapist as they like to be known.  It needs no special equipment and you don’t need to take off your clothes although light clothing can be beneficial.

The clothes provide a barrier between the therapist and the client and the touch of bare skin can stop the therapist from giving full attention to the body energy of the client.

Massage relieves stress, tension, tiredness aching joints, headaches and many more illnesses.

The power of massage is used as a healing tool and can be enhanced with other areas of alternative therapies which compliment the whole body.

Some massage therapists work on muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons by working firmly to move the body’s tissue and reducing the amount of toxic build up that can cause physical problems as arthritis, sciatica and rheumatism.

Even office workers have realised the benefit of massage, after all, they spend all day sitting hunched up in front of a computer so their muscles tighten as they get little exercise and spend all day in a similar position.
