Has Homeopathy Worked for You?

Posted under Homeopathy - May 27th, 08

In the midst of the recent media attacks on homeopathy and alternative medicine as a whole, the ‘homeopathy has worked for me’ campaign, run by H:MC21, has taken a positive and assertive stance to defend this alternative medicine system through considered argument and evidence.

Homeopathy stimulates the body’s own healing processes based on the principle that ‘like cures like’.  The H:MC21 website explains that a homeopathic remedy will be prescribed once the homeopath has questioned the patient in detail about their physical health, emotional and mental well being and has built a detailed picture of the person as a whole.  The remedy is selected based on the symptoms that it can generate in a healthy person.  These symptoms are matched to those being experienced by the patient.  The remedy then stimulates the body to react against the patient’s symptoms and the patient’s health begins to improve.

This non-profit making organisation aims to promote homeopathy positively and is based on the basic principle that it is the right of people in the UK to be able to choose what type of therapy they receive within the NHS.   This comes as homeopathy specifically is withdrawn from Tunbridge Wells hospital and is also likely to be discontinued at the Royal London Homeopathic hospital later this year.

Supporters of homeopathy can sign a declaration to Parliament say that they have had homeopathy and it helped them by visiting www.homeopathyworkedforme.org
