Posted under Herbalism - Sep 2nd, 08

Herbalists come in contact with customers that have the problem of sweaty hands or Palmer Hyperhydrosis, wanting to try and find any herbal remedies that may save them from being embarrassed when having to shake hands or greet a person.

When you are in position that you have to meet and greet a person even at job interviews and your hands are sweating, nerves make the hands sweat more. It is not easy for the person gripping the hand stretched out to them to find their hand is very wet. The excess body fluid pours out of the body and you can try drying the hands with powder but then cracks start to appear in the skin. It can be difficult if you are using a deodorant as it is not easy to apply especially if you sweat in other areas of the body.

A holistic practitioner would be dismayed with this condition as it would be a disadvantage when massaging a client .although there are herbs that can be of assistance as listed below.

•    Valerian Root
•    St. Johns Wort
•    Kava Kava

If the symptoms persist there are over the counter drugs or prescribed medications by a doctor.
