Homeopathy Awareness Week 14th – 21st June 2008

Posted under Homeopathy - Jun 13th, 08

Across the UK homeopaths are preparing for the annual Homeopathy Awareness Week which runs from 14th to 21st June 2008.  The event is in its eighth year and is spearheaded by the Society of Homeopaths.  The Society of Homeopaths is the largest register of qualified and experienced homeopaths in the UK.  They offer a wealth of resources to the general public, students of homeopathy and homeopathic practitioners.

To flag up the benefits of this alternative medicine system the Society of Homeopaths have organized homeopaths across the country to talk to the general public at selected retail outlets.  Homeopathy is a gentle, healing system of medicine using remedies made from the plant, mineral and animal kingdoms.  As homeopathy gently stimulates the body’s own healing system it can be used for everyone regardless of age and is also suitable for babies and pregnant women.

The Society is collaborating with Nelsons, a supplier of homeopathic and herbal remedies, to emphasise how homeopathy can be used to benefit sufferers of allergies such as hayfever.  High street health stores and chemists have been getting involved and will be hosting a homeopath in the store.

To support homeopaths in spreading the word the Society of Homeopaths has put together a merchandising pack including posters and leaflets which is available to members at their site www. homeopathy-soh.org.
