Using the needles in acupuncture, the practitioner, who will have trained for a number of years, will use his knowledge of the physical body and the pressure points to restore balance in the body, which in the west is known as Qi.

There is Qi in everyone’s immune system and it can either be weak or cold. If the Qi is cold then the needles are placed in the pressure points and used to make it warmer, however, if the Qi is weak the practitioner will need to make the points in the body stronger. The holes the needles make are the gateway to increasing or decreasing the balance in the body and according to the Chinese there is a gatecontrol that controls pain.

When you suffer with pain, a signal is transmitted to the brain; however, the nerves are aware of how much pain they can stand. The healing technique of acupuncture needles move quickly and reach the point of injury quick enough to stop the brain from feeling the pain.

Yin and yang are known in the western world to bring balance and the healing technique that the Chinese practitioners use can restore the balance bringing relief to many ailments or imbalances that cause our bodies to suffer.
