Rheumatoid Arthritis

Person’s joints can be inflamed by their auto-immune system starting to attack its own tissues.

The joints can start to feel stiff, swell, and feel uncomfortable and painful. The doctors have stated there are several triggers that can cause this to happen including infection and trauma.

Unfortunately it is a disease that will continue to progress and prescribed medication can help which on occasions have side effects.

Once a person is taking the tablets they can become dependant on them due to the fact they ease the pain.

There are natural therapies a person can try and pain relief can bring healing to the mind and body.

I have listed below one or two of the alternative therapies that can be used singularly or jointly.

1. Acupuncture is a popular treatment and has been used by Chinese practitioners for thousands of years. They pierce the skin with pins in certain areas of the body’s meridian lines. This is effective as it helps with the relief of the pain.

2. Acupressure is slightly different to acupuncture as the Chinese practitioner will use his finger to apply pressure on the body which then releases endorphins.  Once the endorphins are released this brings comfort and a calmness to mind and body.

This therapy may be more suitable if a person has a dislike of needles.

Warning: If taking prescribed medication keep your doctor informed.
