The practice of Meditation

According to a dictionary meditation is a state of consciousness in which a person eliminates the environment from awareness so the mind can focus on a single thing, producing a state of relaxation and relief from stress.

Meditation the word actually originates from the Latin word ‘meditor’ which means to think, consider and reflect. The Sanskrit root of the word is ‘madha’ which means wisdom.

There are three stages of understanding to clarify and unseen skill. Once you have advance yourself in the practice of mediation then you have other choices as to whether you go to another stage or stay the same.

First stage of meditation:

This is a physiological which is the process of relaxing and achieving a relaxed state of mind.

Second stage of meditation:

The second stage is insightful and that means to gain knowledge of ones inner self.

Third stage of meditation:

This stage is spiritual and becoming aware of a higher consciousness.

There are many definitions of meditation depending on the culture and religion. However meditation can have a positive healing effect on high blood pressure, breathing difficulties and the bodies pulse to name a few.

Note: Moving meditation can be done as demonstrated by Tai Chi or Yoga.
