Posted under Herbalism - Sep 5th, 08

Herbal plants and healing join hand in hand dating back to generations of Indian families whose ancestors will be looking down and smiling as they can see a new garden growing in love and smelling of the most gorgeous scents that only herbal plants can infuse.

A garden has been created by the citizens of ’Prune’ so that the people of the west can visit the gardens and take in the traditional knowledge and have the opportunity to see all the herbal plants and to choose plants that they feel they would like to start using as home remedies helping to cut the cost of traditional medicines and may start to grow the herbs in their own gardens.

One of the new plants being grown in this large but decorative garden is called ‘Guggal’ and they are hoping it may help the condition of diabetes. The gardeners are planting baby herbs to continue the growth of herbs that is required for future use. It is important at this point to mention that you must keep your doctor informed of the herbs you are using.

The practitioners and holistic therapists have been know to have used this healing of life and scripture for generations we know it as Ayurveda.  The holistic therapist will continue to massage the Ayurveda oils onto the physical body choosing the herbs that would suit the individual and to give advice to their clients on how to use them to the best of their ability in the home.
