Tui – Na the Alternative Therapy

Posted under Acupuncture, General Health, Healing Touch, Practitioners - Feb 28th, 09

Chinese practitioners are known to use different healing methods to enhance a patients well being.

One of the treatments used in both Western and Chinese hostpitals is known as Tui –Na.

A qualified therapist is employed in the hostpitals to use both massage and manipulation to correct any imbalances in a person’s body.

Imbalances will stop the flow of Qi. If your body has blocked Qi then once it is released by this healing treatment it will bring back a flow of energy.

Revitalised energy soon restores good health in the body.

This treatment is becoming more popular especially as it does not involve needles which can put off some people.

It can be used on both adults and children to treat conditions such as frozen shoulders, deep pain, asthma and depression.

Note: Chinese practitioners use the theory that human bodies have twenty four energy channels. Some are unpaired and some paired.

These channels run round our bodies and Qi is the natural energy which makes use of the lines to keep the body in good health.

Tui –Na therapy treats a person via the energy channels or acupuncture points. T

The treatment is applied whilst a client is full clothed. However in some cases it may be necessary to apply directly on the skin.
